🏌️ Tee Whiz FAQ

What is Tee Whiz?

Tee Whiz is a daily golf guessing game where you try to identify PGA Tour golfers based on silhouetted swing videos. It’s part trivia, part visual challenge, and all about celebrating the sport.

How do I play?

Watch the silhouetted swing video, guess the golfer’s name, and use the bio clues to narrow it down. You get 6 guesses per round in the current version. Each guess will add a new row to the bio grid so you can compare attributes across attempts.

Tip: start by scanning the silhouette for stance and follow-through, then use the bio grid to confirm or eliminate similarly-styled players. The datalist and auto-complete help prevent misspellings when entering names.

For a more detailed explanation of gameplay, see our How to Play guide.

Is Tee Whiz affiliated with the PGA Tour?

No. Tee Whiz is an independent fan-made game and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the PGA Tour or any professional golf organization.

Can I play more than once a day?

Yes! Use Practice Mode to play unlimited rounds. Daily Mode features one new puzzle each day for each difficulty (easy and hard modes).

What happens if I guess wrong?

Each incorrect guess reveals more bio data to help narrow down your options. You’ll see color-coded feedback: 🟩 Green = perfect match, 🟨 Yellow = close, ⬜ White = no match.

Is my personal data safe?

Absolutely. We don’t collect personal information or store gameplay data. For more details, check out our Privacy Policy.

Can I suggest a golfer or report an issue?

Yes! Contact us @TeeWhizGame on X (Twitter) or head over to our Contact Page to send feedback, report bugs, or suggest future features.

How is the daily golfer selected?

Daily mode uses a date-based rotation so the same golfer appears for everyone on a given day (per difficulty). This keeps daily play comparable between friends and prevents randomization from changing results throughout the day.

Why do some bio values look slightly different over time?

Some stats naturally change (for example world ranking or career wins). Tee Whiz periodically refreshes metadata so future rounds remain accurate while preserving stable gameplay behavior for the current day’s puzzle.

What does the hint button actually do?

“Take a stroke” reveals one non-name bio field for the current golfer and applies a guess penalty. It is designed as a strategic tradeoff: faster narrowing of options at the cost of score efficiency.

How should I report a bug so it gets fixed quickly?

Include these details: mode, difficulty, golfer name (if known), what you expected, what happened, and your device/browser. Repro steps and screenshots help a lot and usually lead to faster fixes.

Is there a roadmap for new features?

Yes. Priorities typically include gameplay clarity, data quality improvements, and mode expansion. Suggestions from players are reviewed and often influence what ships next.
