Tee Whiz is a lightweight, browser-first guessing game for golf fans. Each round presents a silhouette swing — a short clip that captures the motion and posture of a professional golfer. Your challenge is to identify the golfer using a combination of visual cues and limited bio hints. The game mixes casual trivia with pattern recognition and is designed to be approachable for newcomers while offering a steady test for more experienced fans.

Why we built it

We wanted a small, shareable experience that celebrates the nuance of professional golf. Swing silhouettes are surprisingly distinct: stance, follow-through, and tempo can be signature traits. By focusing on silhouette clues and a compact set of searchable bio attributes (country, age, college, career wins, FedEx rank), Tee Whiz provides a lightweight daily puzzle that players can pick up and play in a few minutes.

What's included

The site contains the following features that make the game fun and fair:

• Daily puzzle mode — one curated silhouette each day.
• Practice mode — replay and explore more clips at your own pace.
• Nine Holes mode — a short tournament of 9 sequential silhouettes for scoring and bragging rights.
• Biographical hints — the grid reveals bio attributes to help narrow candidates. A single "Take a stroke" hint is available per round as a strategic penalty.
